Helen Stein is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and Dependency Law Mediator.
Helen earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ithaca College. She is a member of the New York State Bar, the Florida State Bar, and is a state-certified Parenting Coordinator and a member of the Collaborative Family Law Institute.
For many years, Helen served in leadership roles in organizations whose missions are to provide legal representation to abused and neglected children. Her career began in public service when she founded the start-up legal services program in Queens County, NY, for the representation of low-income community residents. Her work grew to include the representation of abused and neglected children who were subjects of child protective proceedings. She then became the Administrative Attorney for the 11th Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program where she managed the legal staff and was also responsible for the training and supervision of hundreds of volunteer attorneys representing children.
Helen then opened and developed the Miami office of Lawyers for Children America, which quickly became a successful non-profit business. She served for several years on the Florida Bar Juvenile Rules Committee and was an adjunct professor at Miami-Dade College, where she taught family law.
Helen has been an invited presenter at several conferences regarding children's rights, including the Governor's Commission for the Unmet Legal Needs of Children, The Florida Bar Children's Legal Services Conference and the American Bar Association's 10th Annual National Conference. She has also served on various local boards of organizations that provide and support children's services.
In 2005, Helen opened a divorce mediation business, which later became affiliated with Divorce Without War®. Beginning in 2007 to the present, she has owned and operated a Divorce Without War® franchise in Coral Gables, Florida.
In 2012, Helen became co-owner and President of Divorce Without War® USA, LLC., which is now the franchisor of Divorce Without War® throughout the United States.
Helen Stein is divorced and remarried, is the mother of four children, and has first-hand experience in the divorce process.
Tom Cromer is a native of Miami, Florida, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His business career began in Miami at The Cromer Company, his family’s international apparel distribution and manufacturing business, where he was responsible for sales, marketing and management. After nearly 20 years in the family business, Tom decided to branch out on his own and began a career in franchising.
Tom then joined the Florida Prudential Realty® franchise as a member of the sales and marketing team. A few years later, he opened the first Assist 2 Sell® real estate franchise in Miami-Dade County, Florida, which he successfully operated for 10 years. Furthering his franchising career, Tom then purchased the Miami-Dade County franchise of Interim Healthcare® which he recently sold.
In 2012, Tom became co-owner and CEO of Divorce Without War® USA, LLC., the franchisor of Divorce Without War® throughout the United States.
Tom Cromer is married and has two sons.
